As a federal and state funded agency, The Delaware County Office of Services for the Aging (COSA) must comply with the provisions of the State Civil Service Commission. Maturity Works is funded by the U.S. Department of Labor under the Senior Community Service Employment Program (SCSEP). Created in 1965, SCSEP is the nation's oldest program to help low-income, unemployed individuals aged 55+ find work. SCSEP matches eligible older adults with part-time jobs for community service organizations. Participants build skills and self-confidence, while earning a modest income.
Maturity Works offers paid job training with local non-profit organizations. Participants will be matched with training assignments that fit their unique skill set, schedule, and training needs. While in the program, participants receive support to secure employment.

Retired and Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP)
RSVP engage adults interested in volunteering in meaningful and impactful roles within local communities. Programs focus on important community needs such as child and adult literacy, food distribution and security and senior support services including companionship and transportation. Members of the Delaware County community, including seniors, recent retirees and corporate employees are invited to contact RSVP to learn about current opportunities for individuals and groups. Opportunities include virtual tutoring from any computer location to support struggling math students and veterans through a workforce development program, an excellent volunteer activity for corporate employees. Volunteer information sessions are held regularly throughout the area.

AmeriCorps Seniors Foster Grandparent Program
The program is for individuals 55 and older who are willing to commit 15 hours per week, and enjoy working with children. Foster Grandparents have the opportunity to volunteer in a variety of settings, such as after school programs, Daycare Centers, Schools and Head Start Classrooms.
